Fresh snowfall, overnight rains bring chill back to Valley | KNO

Srinagar, March 20 (KNO) : The overnight rains and a fresh snowfall on Wednesday morning has led to the dip in the temperature in the Valley while as the local meteorological department has predicted improvement in the weather conditions from Thursday. The incessant overnight rains in the valley have inundated the City interiors in Srinagar. The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) said that the de-watering of the roads was going on at many places while many among them have been de-watered. Earlier, MeT had predicted widespread light to moderate rains, snow or thundershowers across the State during the next 24 hours, which could result in drop in the temperature. Talking to KNO, an official in the MeT department said that the weather would improve in the Valley while as the Valley would receive intermittent rainfall during evening hours till March 26. He said there was no significant prediction so far but overall the weather conditions would improve from Thursday morning.(KNO)
